EcoMend Technology for remediation of polluted waters
A revolutionary technology for remediation of polluted natural waters

EcoMend restores the impaired waters to a pristine state by tackling the problems at the source. The basic principal of the technology includes introduction of excess oxygen radical to the bottom water to accelerate the decomposition of the organic sediments, eradicating the oxygen consuming matters at the bottom, removing nurtrients from water, and restoring the dissolved oxygen concentrations, aerobic activities and food cycles.

EcoMend is safe, efficient, environmental friendly, no harmful residual effect and does not create any secondary pollution. It transforms the bottom water and sediments from anaerobic to aerobic conditions, induces and accelerates oxidation and decomposition of organic sediments, and establishes a protective aerobic layer of 10-15 cm thick at the surface of the bottom sediment. This ensures that the bottom sediment is continuously maintained at aerobic conditions after remediation, thereby eliminating the cost-intensive process of dredging and de-silting of the bottom sediment that are required in the conventional programs. EcoMend is therefore highly cost-effective compared with other eco-remediation programs. It is most suitable for treatment of highly polluted waters especially those with anaerobic problems at bottom layer.

Application of EcoMend would lead to enhanced aesthetics of the aquatic environment, as the results of:

• Reduction of nuisance algae, weeds and pathogenic bacteria

• Increased oxygenation in water
